The City of Refuge International, Inc. is committed to empowering the underpriviledged in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)
DRC Facts:
- The DRC is larger than Western Europe
- 5.4 millions deaths have occurred due to recent civil war
- 50% of war-related deaths were children
- 4.5 million children in DRC are orphans
- 1,100,000 people living in the DRC have HIV/AIDS
- 1 in 5 children dies before reaching the age of 5
